While surfing the internet recently, I came across some interesting info about Zenyatta. For those who don’t know Zenyatta, here is a video of a typical race for her:
Zenyatta Highlights:
-Her record was 19-1 over her racing career, breaking almost every record with respect to horse racing.
-She’s huge, standing 17.2 hands tall, which is as tall as many draft horses. (For reference: Secretariat was only 16.2 hands.)
- Her owners bought her for only $60,000 and she didn’t start racing until she was almost 4 years old.
- She ended up ‘losing’ (she got second place by a head,) the Breeder’s Cup this year. She is now to be retired at the age of 6.
