This past holiday season was by far one of the best I've ever had. It was probably due to the following factors:
1. I had essentially all my shopping done early, so there was very little stress and very few visits to the mall during the Christmas chaos/traffic.
2. Sean and Scott were both home. It was so great to have them both here for a few weeks!
3. I didn't have to worry about going back to school in January.
4. I was able to spend quality time with family and friends. (see pics below)
5. I found out that I have an interview for vet school at Purdue. It's scheduled for Friday, January 21st.
Here are pictures from a few of the fun holiday activities:
Christmas Eve:
| We decided to make a gingerbread house on Christmas Eve. The boys were hesitant at first, but they came around. :) |

For New Year's Eve, we went to Mikado for dinner (two thumbs up!) and then went to go see Wicked at the IRT. It was my third time seeing it, and I enjoyed it for all sorts of new reasons. This cast's acting was the best I've seen, with all sorts of funny quirks and actions from the characters (especially Glinda.)

I was able to go out a few nights and see some of my salsa buddies! Plus, Hannah was in town for a few days and it was really great to see her!

Sean, Scott and I went to see an Indiana Ice hockey game. It was fun to be at the Pepsi Coliseum, since that's where Sean used to play hockey. The most unexpected aspect of the evening was how much fighting the referees let happen. It felt like we were watching an event that was half hockey game and half UFC match! I uploaded a video below of one of the fights. While you can't see the fight that clearly in the video, what I wanted to show was the length of the brawl. Keep in mind, I had to get my camera out of my purse, out of its case, and figure out how to set it to video mode before I started recording, and the fight was still another 20seconds long! (Also note the hooligans to the right of the screen, they made for some good people watching.)

John and I went to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra as well. I absolutely love the building, it's right on the Circle downtown. When you walk in you feel like you are stepping into a different era. The building feels as if it's looked that way for the past 50, 100, 150 years.
